Dating back to 1946, the company originally focused on the production of fashion jewellery. As the industry developed, the company shifted its business focus to the current product range.

The advent of a cash-rich shareholder in 2003 made it possible to undertake extensive modernisation and expansion investments. The current factory in the Kaufbeuren business park was established in various stages. The investment in the two new plastic electroplating facilities, which came into operation in 2010 and 2016, were of particular significance. Today, KTB has a modern plant and sufficient manufacturing capacity to take on even large projects with very high specifications. As a result, the profitable growth of recent years looks set to continue on in future.

The company has extensive expertise covering every stage of the value chain, from parts development and tooling to moulding, plastics injection moulding and surface finishing in its own plastic electroplating shop. Our products and services range from precise technical functional parts to surface finishing, and often include the manufacturing of complete subassemblies. Our customers include a number of renowned companies specialising in the automotive, household appliance and sanitation sectors – all with high quality and reliability requirements.
